Chamber members are invited to the Fall Open House on Tuesday, September 26 for hors d’oeuvres, beverages, music and awards from 5-7pm at Brock’s River Walk Tavern and Grill. Social hour begins at 5pm, followed by the announcement of the Small Business Person of the Year, Tourism Counts and Friend of the Chamber awards. Downtown Fort Atkinson
Fort Atkinson is kicking off the holiday season with the 22nd Annual Holiday Parade in downtown Fort Atkinson. The parade starts at 5:30pm and travels through downtown along Main Street featuring music, dancing and a visit form Santa and Mrs. Claus. In the spirit of giving, we encourage everyone to bring a can of non-perishable food to the parade to help St. Paul’s Lutheran School with their annual food drive for the Fort Atkinson Food Pantry. The Blackhawk Running Club is hosting its 2nd Annual Reindeer Dash family fun run immediately preceding the holiday parade. Following the parade, is the 17th Annual United Way Chili Cook-Off at the Municipal Building where you can vote for your favorite chili and have your photo taken with Santa. This year marks the 15th Anniversary of the Fort Farmers Market! Stock up on fresh greens, cheese, honey, jams, baked goods, eggs and more. Enjoy live music while you shop and special community programs throughout the season including the Poetry Festival, Fall Harvest Days and Harry Potter Halloween. An extended Arts Saturday takes place the last Saturday of the month with arts & crafts vendors and activities. Shop fresh, shop local!
