A groundbreaking ceremony was recently held on the northwest side of Fort Atkinson at the site of the new Country Inn & Suites. Representatives of the Hetts family, Connery Construction and Cornerstone Hotel Management Inc. gathered with City and Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce officials for the ceremony at the new hotel location at the 1600 block of Madison Avenue.

A leader in the upper midscale hotel segment, Country Inns & Suites locations feature residential architecture and welcoming interiors to provide the feeling of home with amenities such as free high-speed Internet, fitness centers, swimming pools, complimentary cookies, and much more. The Fort Atkinson property will offer 83 suites and a 3,400 square foot meeting and conference center, which can accommodate 250 guests. The anticipated completion date is targeted for Spring 2018, with reservations for the conference center beginning early in the new year.
This is the second property in Fort Atkinson constructed by Connery Construction, and managed by Cornerstone Hotel Management, Inc, based in DeForest, WI. The company manages nine other properties in Wisconsin.
