January – April
First Saturdays, 9am-12pm
Join us for the 4th Annual Mini Winter Market featuring 16 market vendors. Enjoy live music while you shop. Held the first Saturday of every month, from January through April, at the Fort Atkinson Club from 9am to 12pm.
Adapted from the Disney film set in New York at the turn of the century, NEWSIES is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a ragged band of teenaged “newsies,” who dreams only of a better life far from the hardship of the streets. But when publishing titans Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack finds a cause to fight for and rallies newsies from across the city to strike for what’s right. High-energy with non-stop thrills, the stage version includes eight brand-new songs by the original team of Alan Menken and Jack Feldman while keeping many of the beloved songs from the film such as “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” “King of New York,” and “Santa Fe.”
Project LEAD XXX has a vision to enhance the visibility and usage of the public space we’d like to name Riverwalk Plaza, centrally located in the heart of the City’s downtown business district on E. Water Street. While small, the Plaza has the potential to frame a major feature of the downtown district, the Rock River, and entice more people to interact with the surrounding environment, including nearby businesses.
Gift Certificates Plus Program
The Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce’s popular “Certificates Plus” program is now available for a limited time. Individuals can “FORTify” their dollars by purchasing Chamber gift certificates and earn an additional ten percent on any amount up to $500. For example, if the amount purchased is $500 then customers receive $550 in gift certificates. This offer is limited to one purchase per person, and the lowest denomination available is $25 per certificate. Payment can be made in cash or major credit/debit card. There will be a 24 hour credit card processing hold for any orders placed over the phone using a credit card. The Chamber highly recommends purchasing gift certificates in lower denominations as change will not be given in excess of $5 when redeeming at member businesses. Gift certificates expire one year after the issue date.
