This is your opportunity to meet our education non-releasable Golden Eagle “Wapaha” followed by the release of “Canada” the bald eagle back to the wild.
This event is free and appropriate for all ages. We ask that you please consider a donation to assist with the expenses of the birds in our care as we receive no state or federal funding.
We will begin promptly at 2:00 pm with a short eagle program that includes our live non-releasable education Golden Eagle “Wapaha”. We are currently the only raptor center in Wisconsin with an education golden eagle so this is your chance. You will learn about the differences between these two species of eagles found in North America. Immediately following, the moment many of you have been waiting for; the release of “Canada” the bald eagle that was recovered very sick near Watertown. We hope you will join us as she takes flight back to freedom.
