This Kick-off event marks the start of Young Auditorium's NEA Big Read for The Latehomecomer by Kao Kalia Yang. Starting at 10:00am, this event will serve as the starting point for a series of community-based experiences throughout the month of April designed to show how sharing a good book can broaden our understanding of our world, our community, and ourselves.
The kick off event will be hosted as a drive thru activity bag pick up to get you started with all you need to enjoy the NEA Big Read events. After picking up your activity bag be sure to stop at the Dwight Foster Library to view the Story Walk with A Map into the World.
We will be distributing one bag per household that includes a copy of each book, a t-shirt, and activity items! Supplies are limited so plan to come early!
