Fort Chamber Welcomes New Business La Cabana
The Fort Atkinson restaurant scene continues to expand with diverse offerings for its residents and visitors. The latest addition is an authentic Mexican restaurant called La Cabana Mexican Grill, located at 213 Washington Street, in the Festival Foods plaza. The site has hosted other restaurants in the past, but owner Alvaro Cortes is eager to showcase what makes his restaurant different. In addition to an interior remodel that includes an impressive bar with a great selection of Mexican beer and tequila, the restaurant features truly traditional Mexican cuisine using the freshest ingredients, and American-style breakfast. “We have some great coffee shops downtown,” said Chamber Director Carrie Chisholm, “and La Cabana is another option for those who want a more substantial breakfast.”
The Cortes family is not new to the restaurant business, as they own and operate another La Cabana in Hubertus. Like that venue, the Fort Atkinson location will soon offer online ordering for carryout, and catering. Guests can preview the menu at www.lacabanamexicangrill.com, or call 920-542-1222 to make a reservation. The restaurant is open Sunday and Monday, 8:00am to 8:00pm, and Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00am to 10:00pm. Known for their margaritas, fast service and friendly staff, the family is excited to bring their expertise and love of Mexican cuisine to Jefferson County.
