Informational Sessions on New Paid Apprenticeship Scheduled!

The Industrial Manufacturing Technician (IMT) apprenticeship will involve rigorous on-the-job training as well as classroom training. Modules will include Safety, Quality, Production Processes and Maintenance Awareness. Instructors and proctors will be on-site, as well as one-on-one tutoring and state-of-the-art teleconferencing to ensure a dynamic learning experience and individual success. Wage progression throughout the program is contingent on the apprentice being in good standing to include work performance, academics and attendance.
This State of Wisconsin registered apprenticeship is designed to provide real world, hands-on experience, while also providing classroom learning through the local technical college. Apprentices earn a competitive wage, build diverse and transferrable technical skills while completing training and coursework required to obtain a State Indentured IMT Journeyman Card, along with a Certificate from the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC).
Opportunities, Inc. will be hosting informational sessions about the new paid apprenticeship they are offering in partnership with Wisconsin Regional Training Program (WRTP)/Big Step.
Apprenticeship positions will be offered in both Jefferson and Waukesha Counties to select candidates. Current employees of Opportunities, Inc./Diversified Personnel Services (DPS) who are interested are invited to attend an informational session as well and may be eligible for credits toward the apprenticeship. Veterans, disadvantaged/underemployed workers and people with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
