The Fort Atkinson Annual Holiday Parade organized by the Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce evokes fond memories of candy, lights, warm blankets, and Santa. It’s truly a special way to kick off a special time of the year. This year, however, the Chamber needs to announce a permanent date change to the Holiday Parade. Starting in 2023, the Holiday Parade will be switching from the second Saturday in November to the first Sunday in December.

Per ordinance, a Snow Emergency will be enacted when the City of Fort Atkinson expects to accumulate greater than two inches (2”) of snowfall within a 24-hour period. In preparation for the snow predicted for Thursday into Friday, the City of Fort Atkinson has declared a Snow Emergency to take effect Friday, March 10, 2023 at 12 a.m. until Friday, March 10, 2023 at 12 p.m. During a Snow Emergency all vehicles must be removed from public streets and alleys.
